Edge angle Extremecarver Gen4

Post by emieldellensen » Tuesday 19 January 2016, 21:49

Hi,

I want to bring my board away for maintenance. What should I tell them for edging?

For the edges tuning, we recommend -1° on base side and 88° on the sides (so globally you get 89°).
The -1° gives good maneuverability, and the 88° is enough for nice grip. On the demo boards, we even us 89°.

Yes. Base bevel -1°. Side bevel 88° (-2°) or 89° (-1°).

If you do a lot of freeride, I recommend a global angle of 90°. Indeed, if you damage your edges (what happens often on the hidden rocks), it's easier to re-sharpen. With lower angle, the edges are a bit more delicate and you need to remove more metal to re-sharpen after damages.

On the slopes, you can sharpen your Dual like the EC Gen4/Pro.

All boards (any brand) are delivered with base angle of 0°.
