Hey guys!
I've gotten a few requests from people about being added to the Mountain Slope newsletter list.
I'm compiling a list of people interested in getting E-mail updates for our Point.951 project.
We'll be sending out an official Newsletter and further information regarding the Point.951 project in December 2016.
If you are interested in receiving the newsletter. Just send me a PM to let me know and
I'll gladly add your E-mail to the list.
Greetings Jennifer

Re: Newsletter: Mountain Slope
Jennifer, it will be important to use a great glue for the soles. Many riders had frequent ungluing on their NW. I was often laughing at Julien who kept trying to reglue the soles.
Very very boring when walking (or getting snow stuck in between the sole and the shell in the toes area).
Continue the good work. You have all our support since day one. Our sport needs good gear.
Say hi to Hansruedi.

Re: Newsletter: Mountain Slope
Thank so much for your help and support Patrice!
Please send Julien to a car garage and ask to use their windshield (black) silicon glue.
This glue works the best (according to HR) for regluing soles.
This is the tip HR always gives to people with sole problems
Joel: We've made a contract with NW to take over the Point boots project.
The original developer and designer are working with us to make the new boot.
You'll see the (P) swoosh logo only appears on the Point boots and no other NW products.
It was only developed for the Point boots by the designer.
We've decided to keep the Point name and the (P) swoosh for the new boot so people can recognize that it is a Point boot.
We've also obtained the newest version of the same material, with the same yellow colour made by the same company.
Our goal is to produce a boot that is very similar to the old one but with the newer technologies available today. (where is the snowboard emote)
Greetings to you and the Swoard Team!

Re: Newsletter: Mountain Slope
Jennifer, great to see many people so interested by this project (new hardboots on market).
But due many and many years between those developement (original vs .951), why a "simply" copy ?

Hey The Blitz,
The Point.950 is still the top boot ridden on the Europa Cup and World Cup series.
Most of the top 20 athletes are wearing the legendary yellow boot.
After talking to a lot of these athletes, they wanted the exact same boot.
However, we thought after 20 years, there should be some changes made.
So we've tried to walk the line of making a similar boot to the one those athletes love
and making changes to make a more modern boot and an overall better version of the boot.
The CAD file we've posted online is at least half a year old.
The boot has changed a lot since then.
We'll be posting more infomation and pictures very soon,
Hope you guys have a wonderful holiday season and all the best in 2017!

Nice project! New boots for currrent and new generation of alpine snowboarders!
Lots of people interested in this new boots project are nevertheless concerned about the PRICE, one of the key factors to avoid the decline of the alpine market (some manufacturers understood it, other still don't).
What is your objective in this regard?

Hello puhutes
I heard that you plan to develop your own step-in system.
Wouldn't it be clever to implement it, into a heel that is mechanically compatible (screws and measurement) with the heels of other boots. So it could be used with other boots too.
It would also be nice, to be able to use existing intec bindings with your new boots.
With an open design, there would be a bigger chance for a commercial success. Also customers who might not be your target, would have access to the 951 boots or your new stepin system.
If I'm wrong with my opinion let me know.
Cheers nextcarve
PS: Great project anyway. I wish you success!!
